Having taken on Shakespeare and Cole Porter last year in our sell-out production of Kiss Me, Kate, this year Milton Keynes AOS is taking on the Bible well, the first few chapters anyway! Based freely on the Genesis stories of Adam and Eve, Cain and Abel, Noah and the Flood, Children of Eden offers a fresh look at families, relationships and letting go not to mention world-creation and world destruction!
Out of all of his own shows including Godspell and Wicked Stephen Schwartz feels that Children of Eden is his best score musically! It includes some of his own personal favourites and has everything from gospel to rock, from a soft-shoe shuffle sung by a snake to 4-part choral singing with some awesome ballads and some new-world music added in for good measure! Coupled with a script by John Caird (co-director of Les Miserables) Children of Eden promises to be an epic and unmissable production! Its a show about families, for all the family so book early to avoid disappointment!
