Many thanks from all of the audition panel to everyone who auditioned today. Congratulations to those who were cast and commiserations to those who missed out. We’re looking forward to working with you all. There were some strong auditions and we believe we have the makings of a superb show. It will however, be a very challenging show and it will need total commitment from everyone involved. We will need full attendance at rehearsals and a real effort to learn music and dialogue.
In terms of the cast list, there are a few notes:
So as to play to the strengths of our cast, some of the responsibilities for songs/movement/dialogue will be redistributed and re-allocated … full details at the read through for the show. As a result of this, you may also note some additional roles as part of the cast list.
Other parts will be allocated during rehearsals, however, we will bear in mind performances from the auditions when allocating those roles
You will note that there is a group of ‘featured dancers’ … there will be some more advanced dance work as part of this show and the 8 women listed were identified as a result of the dance auditions today. Everyone will be fully involved in the big company numbers and there will be plenty for everyone to do … however, we thought we ought to warn you about this before we start rehearsals!
There are a few parts still to be cast … watch this space!!!
