We have recently embarked on an exciting new venture - to record and produce a Society CD album of songs from many of our recent shows and a number of other mainstream musicals. Look out Gareth, Will and Darius!
The CD will include a range of solo, ensemble and chorus tracks. Musical arrangements are being put together and played by Stuart Pemberton and Jim Clark (who has worked on our last two pantomimes and is again involved this year with 'Babes in the Wood').
The album will be recorded over the next six months at Jim's studio facilities in North London (www.sound-board.com). We plan to have the CD ready for public sale by May next year in time for our production of Oliver. (We also intend to give £2 from each CD sale to local Charities).
This is a great opportunity for the Society to try something a bit different and aside from the potential earnings for the Society coffers and for local Charities, this has enormous publicity and exposure value!
